We breathe an average of 20,000 times a day and as many as 800 trillion times over an 80 year lifespan. Every breath is a unique expression of life, a moment of living identity.
Three Deep Breaths
Something Beautiful
A dancer poised
Unmoved by the
Rising sun,
Clouds imperceptibly
Float by.
We turn
Ever so slowly
Delicately balanced on
Mother Earth.
Breath Meditation
Breath, like a
Dimmer switch
Floats downward
Quieting brain.
Face and jaw release,
Shoulders melting
Energy cascades
Through my body
Into Mother Earth.
She carries me.
Naked, without thought
Or pretense,
I greet this day.

Cool Air
Another world is possible, she is on her way. On a quiet day, I can hear her breathing.
Arundhati Roy
Three Deep Breaths
Something Beautiful
Pink Azaleas
Fiery, subtle
Soft
A community of
Color
That only Spring
Can bring
A celebration,
Even on a cloudy
Day
Breath Meditation
Cool air
The breath of the earth
Rhythmically undulates
along my skin
Awakening me
To breathe.
Waves,
Gentle wind,
Rustling leaves
The delicious scent
of
Freshness
Inspires fully.
Tensions, thoughts,
A separate self
Dissovle
Into Joy and
Fullness
